After another packed "Randy Rhoads Remembered" show at the Observatory in Santa Ana, California on January 23 during the NAMM weekend and the release on that same day of the highly praised "Randy Rhoads Remembered Vol. I" CD, Tichy and Sutton received so much positive feedback from artists and fans alike, they knew a tour celebrating the life of Randy Rhoads and supporting "Randy Rhoads Remembered Vol. I" would allow them to continue to develop the idea they, along with all the other performers, were so passionate about. It would also make it possible for many others to experience this event rather than only watch audience footage on the Internet.
Tichy said: "I love Randy Rhoads! He came into my life right at the same time I was learning guitar: 1980. He made me want to learn every note he played. I was already a drummer, but the guitar was right there with the drums, and a lot of that initial inspiration came from Randy's playing on 'Blizzard Of Ozz'. I didn't know what I was doing, but I really wanted to play like Randy Rhoads."
